We have learned allot with this little beauty, when we brought her home she was four months old had never had a name, collar on or been on a leash. She was a retrieving fool. Kiddy was the first dog that Lance had force fetched not because she wouldn't retrieve but because we learned she needed to retrieve when we told her to, not when she wanted to. This little girl was so wonderful in a training environment that we could not believe it when she would crumble in a test environment. As time went on we realized how important all our socialization was that we did with the other dogs. Lance struggled to get her through her HR title due to the way she reacted to judges being in a close proximity at a test. Lance decided maybe the excitement of the upland would bring her around to forget the intimidation which worked. We then decided to breed her for that Autrey line Cindy has dreamed of since reading her first HRC magazine. Again the socialization or the lack there of took its toll and she reabsorbed 3 of 4 puppies and she did not know how to react to giving birth and we lost one yellow male that was full term. The decision was made to spade Kid since her nervousness was getting worse with time. She now is the most wonderful duck hunting, pheasant hunting house dog a family could wish for.
